Dr. Caretha Franks Crawford is a born-again believer in Christ Jesus. Her creative abilities began to blossom as a young child. She always enjoyed arts and craft projects. Family and friends soon learned to expect a creative gift or card on special occasions.
At the age of nine, Dr. Crawford was taught to sew at her mother’s knee. She learned to create her own clothing. She won awards for her fashion sense. As a second career she became a children’s clothes designer. Her designs were sold in high-end stores to include Bloomingdale’s Department store and was featured in the Washington Post by Nina Hyde(August 17, 1986). Also, her designs were sold and exhibited as far as Puerto Rico and Paris, France.
Dr. Crawford is an ordained minister of the gospel with seventeen years of national and international ministry experience. For ministry and enrichment she has traveled to Israel, Jordan, Egypt, London, England, Paris, France, Braunwald and Zurich, Switzerland, Rome, Italy, Nigeria and Sierra Leona in West Africa and Johannesburg, South Africa.
Dr. Crawford received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with honors from Winston-Salem State University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She holds earned Master of Biblical Studies, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees.
Her careers have included public school kindergarten teacher, seminary professor and pastoring.
Dr. Crawford is married to Rev. Clarence Crawford and they have one grown daughter.
